San Francisco/Amity
This section has two distinct motifs: that of a mature coastal city and that of a seasonal tourist town in New England. Within the San Francisco bit of this area lie one show and one attraction. Opening in 1992, Beetlejuice's Rock and Roll Graveyard Revue is a live show featuring some of Universal's classic monsters, including Frankenstein, Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein, and Wolfman. Outside of performance times, guests have the chance to meet Beetlejuice.
The most recent addition was that of Disaster!: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!. This attraction puts guests in the middle of a new Disaster movie made by fictional company Disaster Studios. It opened in January 2008 and features a goods store, named Disaster! Studios Gifts. In homage to the previous Earthquake: The Big One attraction (which Disaster! replaced), the Richter's Burger Company dining outlet has remained open.
Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tours
The Amity section of this area is the home of Jaws where guests are put aboard Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tours. The ride takes guests on a quest around the island of Amity, hoping to avoid the menace called JAWS. Due to popularity, the ride opened in 1990 as an extended version of the original staged event on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.A gift shop entitled Quint's Surf Shack is found close toby the ride. Fear Factor Live is a live stunt show that puts real park guests into the action of the former NBC series, Fear Factor.
It opened in 2005 with a goods shop named Fear Factor Gear.
To the themed shops mentioned before there are multiple other shops including Lombard's Landing Seafood Grille,Nathan's Hotdogs and San Francisco Candy Factory.
